Tiger eye beads, Cats eye.
Tiger eye beads belong to the quartz family. It is called Tiger's because the stone has a light reflection resembling the eye of a tiger.
It's as easy as that! This slit-shaped light hot chatoyeren (this "cat eye effect" comes from the French 'chat', which means cat). When the stone cabochon (BOL) is cut, the beautiful kattenoogeffect is best visible.
