Labradorite Beads
Labradorite is our absolute favourite gemstone!
You’re probably thinking “that’s what they all say”, which is correct – Labradorite beads are the favourite of many! Labradorite beads are in fact very, very easy to combine with any of your outfits. Whether it’s for a fancy or casual occasion, these beads suit both.
Gray colored ‘boulder’
The truly magnificent Labradorite can be found in various countries. Labradorite was discovered by a priest in 1770 on the peninsula of Labrador in Canada. However, there’s a chance that Labradorite beads were already previously known to the Romans as the Roman historian “Pliny” referred to them a lot in his scripts.
Labradorite is a beautiful precious gemstone made up of an alluring combination of colors ranging from shades of deep blue to green. Once the gemstone is polished and made into beautiful Labradorite beads, the colours become even more prominent – especially when incorporated into jewellery.
There is also Madagascar Labradorite. Instead, this type of Labradorite consists of translucent and pale shades of grey. Additionally, Golden Labradorite beads are known to have shades of white to golden yellow with a transparent gloss. Finally, the dark Labradorite beads, also known as Spectrolite, have a beautiful base colour of dark blue and are mainly found in Finland. Though, they can also be found in the likes of the United States, Russia, Mexico and Australia.
Labradorite beads are known for their soft appearance and nurturing and soothing effect. Labradorite beads are also known as the "stones of peace." They are mostly worn as jewellery and are known to protect energy from negative influences and give confidence. The Golden Labradorite has an apparent “extra dimension”. They are supposed to have a connection with a higher level of consciousness. For spiritual cleansing it is advised to keep the beads under cold running water for at least 5 minutes.
The star signs associated with Labradorite beads are Leo, Scorpio and Sagittarius.
The hardness of Labradorite beads on a scale of 1 to 10 would be 7, with a density of 2.69.
