Tourmaline

Tourmaline is an absolutely beautiful and versatile gemstone. Unique because of its breathtaking colors!
The name Tourmaline comes from the Sinhalese word Tura Mali which freely translated means: “stone with mixed colors”.
Dutch navigators brought this stone from Sri Lanka. Other sites of Tourmaline are: Afghanistan, Brazil, USA, Madagascar, Sri Lanka, Mozambique and Pakistan.
This stone is translucent or opaque (opaque) and of unparalleled beauty.
The color palette of the Tourmaline is legion, actually all colors of the rainbow are discussed and more…

Black Tourmaline

There is the opaque black Tourmaline, also called schörl, which contains a very elegant beauty. A variant of this is Tourmaline Quartz, a translucent rock crystal in which 'needles' of black tourmaline are set.
The Watermelon Tourmaline is also a gem in itself. The name is of course not given for nothing, because indeed, the edge of the stone has the color green, just like the skin of a real watermelon and the core is reddish/red.
The Tourmaline in gradient colors are also pleasing to the eye. This gives a nice effect, especially in the rough version. For example, you see stones that color from blue to yellow, or from green to yellow. It is unimaginable that these combinations of colors can occur in one gemstone, that is truly unique!
The green tourmaline or also called verdelite in technical jargon is very popular, but the most popular tourmaline among the experts is the bright blue or indigolite, this translucent stone has such a pure beauty and shine in color that once processed in a jewelery becomes a real eye-catcher.
The special tourmalines are 'Turkish Cup', where the top is red and the 'Moorkopje', where the top is black.

Tourmaline in jewelry

You can make any desired piece of jewelry from tourmaline, necklace, bracelet, earrings and even as a nice charm, for example on a bag or as a key ring.... Let your creativity run free and surprise yourself, a neighbor, girlfriend or anyone else with something beautiful of a very high quality!

All tourmalines match the zodiac signs of Pisces and Libra.
